To get to the other theme parks, you can take a bus. These are the newest section of the resort and have lots of great amenities within them. I like staying at the Polynesian because it’s convenient to the Magic Kingdom and the other monorail resorts. There’s also ‘Ohana, which offers breakfast and dinner, as well as Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto, a fun tiki-theme bar. The main building contains the Kona Cafe, a delicious casual restaurant that serves one of my favorite breakfasts on the property. The Polynesian is a deluxe resort, with rooms spread out across various buildings. It was recently renovated and includes some of my favorite restaurants. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, one of my favorite resorts at Walt Disney World, is one of the best choices.


If you’d like to be near the Magic Kingdom park, you’ll probably want to stay at one of the resorts located on the monorail. That can take a little more time than the other modes of Disney transportation, so you’ll want to consider that before booking. Port Orleans French Quarter offers bus transportation to the four theme parks. It’s also near Disney Springs, and during normal times, there’s a boat ride that can take you right there. That’s a much busier resort, but all of those activities and amenities are open to those staying on the French Quarter side. The resort is connected to a second section, called Port Orleans Riverside. As one of the moderate resorts, it’s less expensive than some of the other resorts on this list, and yet it is still lots of fun. If you are looking for a more low-key, laid-back resort, Port Orleans French Quarter is a great option. It’s the size and atmosphere of the resort that makes it great for some adult vacations. It’s also a small resort, which is pretty different from most of the Disney resorts. Port Orleans French Quarter is a moderate Disney resort located in the Disney Springs area.
